Another food that is excellent for dieting is beans.  I make a killer bean soup with black, red kidney and navy beans. I throw in some garlic and onions -- add water and chicken or beef broth and I jazz it up for taste. This soup is filling, satisfying, very healthy and not calorie dense and it keeps me full for awhile.  It is also tasty and I find when I eat it I am not jonesing for food.  When I keep myself full and satisfied while I am dieting I tend not to think of all the junk food I would to be eating.
